Visa on Arrival (VOA) is a type of visa that allows travelers to enter Thailand without obtaining a visa from a Thai embassy or consulate in their home country. It's a convenient option for those who are planning a short trip to Thailand and do not have the time to apply for a visa in advance. The VOA scheme is available to citizens of certain countries. Currently, citizens of 18 countries are eligible for VOA in Thailand, including China, India, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. The VOA is valid for 15 days and can be extended for another 15 days at an immigration office in Thailand. To apply for a VOA, travelers must have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Thailand, a return or onward ticket, and sufficient funds to cover their stay in the country.
